Every week more than 100 planning applications are validated by the council and we have selected some of the more interesting proposals. All planning applications submitted to the council have to be validated and are available for inspection by the public.
Anyone is also allowed to submit comments about the applications - whether in support or objection. The majority of applications are decided by planning officers at the council under delegated powers. However, some applications will go before elected councillors who sit on planning committees.

The application states: "The proposed pitch is to be located within the existing grassed playing fields located to the north west of the main college buildings and west of the YMCA/CommunitySports Centre building.

It relates to the former Peacocks store in . The application states that it would be a "sensible use" of a currently "redundant" building at 43-55 Trelowarren Street.
The proposal is to convert part of the ground floor and all of the first floor into flats. A section of the ground floor to the front elevation is to be retained as a retail outlet. As part of the conversion the ground floor eastern wall will be removed and rebuilt.
An application has been submitted to add five additional holiday lodges to Rosehill Touring Park in . It states that the site is an established holiday park with existing holiday lodges. The proposal relates to the siting of three lodges within the existing park where previous planning permission was in place in the past and two sites within the site where space exists.
