A Coronation Street star is set for a “shock” return, following their huge death storyline which aired less than a year ago. Corrie villain Joel Deering (played by Calum Lill) is making a comeback to the cobbles in what is thought to be a “flashback” on the ITV soap. His upcoming appearance in Weatherfield will reportedly see him "have lots to say" after the evil character was killed off back in September, which led to a dramatic ‘whodunnit’ plot for months, as viewers watched in anticipation.

This soon ended in Lauren admitting to DC Kit Green that she was the murder suspect. It comes as an insider told The Sun : “Calum has been back filming and viewers will be seeing him on screen again soon. “He might be dead but there is lots more to say about that murder and he is likely to be involved in some flashback scenes.
