A Coronation Street villain has confirmed they are leaving the show after three years – with their final scenes having already been aired. Reece Bolton, played by Scott Anson, first joined the ITV soap in 2022. Fans were excited for the character’s return this week as Reece summoned his daughter Lauren (Cait Fitton) to visit him in prison in Wednesday’s episode (April 23).
But the meet up didn’t go well – with Lauren making it clear she wanted nothing further to do with him, as Reece vindictively revealed he might not be her biological father. Delighted to see her Daddy? pic.twitter.

He wrote: “Catch my very last ep as Reece Bolton @coronationstreet.” Reece was sent to jail in early 2023 after becoming a member of a far-right gang, ran by Griff Reynolds.
He has made several returns in Lauren's ongoing storyline since then. His Corrie comeback was first hinted at earlier this year, when Anson shared a photo of a script and a letter on social media which said “welcome to Coronation Street!” Scott also wrote alongside it, “bad boy Reece is back” which certainly "excited" fans.
