Highways bosses have drawn up a £1.25 million plan to speed up journeys on two Stoke-on-Trent roads. Four junctions are to be improved on Weston Road, in Meir, and Hartshill Road, in Hartshill.

It follows complaints about unreliable bus services on the two routes. A Stoke-on-Trent City Council report states: "Bus operators have identified four junctions on the A52 Hartshill Road and the A520 Weston Road where buses experience delays. Bus Service Improvement Plan funding will be used to undertake junction improvements to reduce delays to buses and improve reliability.
