The council is in "advanced" discussions to move (the people responsible for multiple truck trailers being parked in a particular area).

The council is 'in discussions' to move showmen from a trailer park on an industrial estate. Bolton Council is looking to move the occupants of Mill Hill Caravan Park , which is on the Mill Hill Industrial Estate. It is not yet clear where they will be relocated.

This comes after concerns have been raised about numerous trailers and trucks that are parked on the industrial estate. The area, which is home to multiple businesses, is covered with double yellow lines, but many of the vehicles have been parked on those lines. They have also been parked on Kestor Street, which Bolton Council tried to close for 18months for public safety, but was prevented from doing due to numerous vehicles being in the way. Bolton Council says the temporary closure was due to safety concerns raised by local businesses. The council since said it was in the process of "resolving the issue" of obstructions blocking the road.

Now, it has been confirmed that the showmen own the vehicles, and that the council are "in discussions" to relocate the residents. He also confirmed that the vehicles are owned by the showmen.

This comes after concern was raised about the vehicles being there. Mark Waters, co-owner and finance director Ajax Equipment on Mule Street. He raised concern about the "eyesore" vehicles in the area.

Mark said: "Over the last 18 months, I have been emailing and emailing to have the council clear the vehicles that have littered Mule Street. "Under the bridge on Mill Street there were also some caravans which were all burnt out, they were a real hazard. " He added that there used to be more trailers on Mule Street, some which caused issues with deliveries getting into a neighbouring business. The trailers were moved off the street, although one remains there. Mark said: "One of the issues I have had is employees, sub-contractors and customers get parking tickets out there.

"The wardens are quite happy to come around and ticket them, but all these trailers parked on the double yellows don't see any enforcement. "It makes the area look a complete eyesore. I have customers leave by going up Mule Street and through Mill Street, it is a pretty unattractive area.

"We have been here for 55 years, other businesses in the area are long-established, and it is disappointing that the area has fallen into this state.".
