Councillors fire allegations at each other

Surat: The general board meeting of the Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) saw chaos on Wednesday as councillors of the BJP and AAP made allegations against each other during speeches to honour the victims of the Pahalgam attack . As the councillors started making allegations, the mayor, Daxesh Mavani , declared that all the work tabled in the meeting was approved. The meeting was also declared over.

Later, the councillors, while leaving the hall, shouted at each other. To avoid a clash, security personnel intervened and prevented the councillors from getting too close to each other. The councillors came to the meeting in white clothes.
