DA files last-minute motion to delay Menendez resentencing

After months of legal twists and turns, a critical resentencing hearing for Erik and Lyle Menendez is set to take place Thursday with the brothers appearing virtually from prison. In a last-minute wrinkle, however, the Los Angeles district attorney filed a motion asking the judge to postpone the proceedings again, saying they need to review new risk assessments recently completed by the California parole board.
