Dahod police conduct drive to identify Bangladeshis

Vadodara: Dahod police conducted extensive checks in the town to identify Bangladeshi residents . Teams from the district police used drone cameras to ensure that suspicious individuals did not hide or flee from areas where checks were being conducted. Teams from Dahod police, including personnel from the SOG, local crime branch and Dahod town police, conducted the checking drive on Sunday night.

Individuals suspected to be from Bangladesh were checked in Vankarvas, Marvadi Chaal, Kasba, and other areas in Dahod town. The documents of suspicious persons believed to have migrated into the town were checked. Some documents that appeared suspicious are being verified by police.



Police also checked if those staying on rent in these areas were registered by their landlords with police. The police also verified individuals who were from Pakistan. Sources said that four Pakistani nationals were staying in the town.

So far, the central govt has not issued any instructions regarding Pakistani citizens staying in the country on long-term visas..
