’‘Helen’s incredible act of generosity was to normalise death as much as possible for everyone around her, particularly for our children, and essentially to reassure everybody that she had the life she wanted,’ Damian told Tommy.Appearing as the first guest on RTÉ One’s Tommy Tiernan Show on Saturday, Damian said his late was was ‘the best [and] incredible.’ Pic: RTÉ One/ XHe added that his wife had ‘done the things she wanted,’ and had had the family and husband she wanted.
‘It was an act of incredible bravery and generosity because her heart must have been breaking,’ he said.The actor went on to detail how he has ‘the manic defense in a very pronounced way’ which helps him reaffirm life and keep going.
