Competitors and guests from across Europe, Asia, the United States, the CIS and other regions are expected to attend. The competition is set to highlight not only the natural beauty of Tajikistan, but also its growing reputation as a destination for adventure tourism. Khurramzamin, with its pristine air, dramatic landscapes, and favorable flying conditions, has been selected as the ideal venue for the event.
Athletes will compete while flying the flags of their nations, contributing to an atmosphere of international camaraderie. The official opening ceremony on April 26 will include a flag parade of participating countries, artistic performances, and an aerial display by an AN-24 aircraft. The event is expected to attract members of the diplomatic corps and international organizations based in Tajikistan.

Danghara to host international paragliding competition “Open Sky” for the President’s Cup

An international paragliding competition titled Open Sky will take place from 26 April to 4 May 2025 in the scenic foothills of Khurramzamin, Danghara District, Khatlon province. The event, held under the auspices of the President’s Cup, will feature top-level athletes competing in precision landing and cross-country disciplines.
