Ihuoma Julia Nneji, 34, daughter of ABC Transport’s owner, has alleged that she was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force without receiving any prior invitation or being informed of any petition filed against her. Nneji’s name recently appeared in a Special Police Gazette Bulletin issued by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre (NPF NCCC) in Abuja. She is listed for alleged offenses including criminal defamation, injurious falsehood, and cyberstalking.
In a statement, Nneji denied any involvement in defamation or blackmail, insisting she never engaged in such activities on her verified social media accounts or elsewhere. Instead, she described herself as the victim of harassment and blackmail by her former fiancé, Henry Uzochukwu, who is the complainant in the case. She explained that she met Uzochukwu in April 2024 and that their relationship took a turn for the worse a few months later.
“This conflict began in August 2024 when I called off our wedding, which had been scheduled for November 2024, due to unresolved concerns about Henry’s sexuality,” she said. According to her, she discovered evidence suggesting Uzochukwu was gay and decided to end the engagement. She further alleged that her investigations uncovered a pattern of similar incidents in Uzochukwu’s past, including multiple broken engagements reportedly linked to the same issue.
“I was deceived and manipulated by the many lies he told,” she said. After I canceled the wedding, he began harassing me, threatening my life, and falsely accusing me of operating an Instagram page to spread rumors about him — claims that are speculative and untrue..
