A mechanical failure of a Davenport Fire Department boat that was helping to position the department's boathouse on the Mississippi River at Centennial Park on Thursday caused the boathouse to drift downstream and suffer minor damage, officials said. Davenport boathouse slightly damaged due to mechanical mishap

The Davenport Fire Department's boathouse on the Mississippi River at Centennial Park was damaged Thursday when it drifted downstream after one of the guide boats suffered a mechanical issue.
