KOCHI: Actor Shine Tom Chacko’s crucial statements to the police are now out. Shine admitted to frequently using chemical drug methamphetamine and cannabis. The actor also revealed to the police that he had previously sought treatment at a de-addiction center.

It was the actor’s father who intervened and took his son to a de-addiction center in Koothattukulam but Shine left the place after 12 days. The police have decided to file a case under the NDPS Act against actor Shine Tom Chacko based on concrete evidence. The police had come to the hotel to search for drug dealer Sajeer.



It is reported that Shine admitted to knowing Sajeer. A case will be registered under sections 27 and 29 of the NDPS Act for conspiracy and drug use. Shine will soon be taken to the Ernakulam General Hospital for a medical examination.

Today, three groups of officers grilled the actor. It is reported that Shine quivered during the interrogation and often gave vague statements. During the interrogation, Shine answered no when asked if he knew Sajeer, but when the cyber documents were presented, he had to admit that he knew Sajeer.

The cyber department presented details of some phone calls Shine had made with Sajeer. Later, when Shine could not stand his ground during the interrogation, he was forced to say that he used to use chemical drugs and that he had dealings with drug gangs. With this, the police took steps to arrest him.

Currently, Shine has been charged with sections that allow for station bail..
