Two men used a “Pablo line” drugs phone to deal cocaine and cannabis across Bolton, a court has heard. Adam Hussain, 27 and Mamoudon Sow, 29, had both been involved in running the line between October and December of last year. But Bolton Crown Court heard how the conspiracy started to unravel after police noticed a blacked-out Vauxhall Astra on Spa Road on November 27.
Prosecutor Mark Stephenson said: “But after the vehicle refused to stop a chase ensued.” He added: “Eventually the vehicle was chased down a dirt track in the Moss Lea area of Bolton.” The case was heard at Bolton Crown Court (Image: Anthony Moss) Sow then ran out of the car but was caught with cash, an iPhone and a bag of white powder than turned out to be cocaine.
On analysing the phone officers found that it was part of the “Pablo line”, notorious around Bolton for being used to supply cocaine and cannabis. There were more than 11,000 calls on the phone linked to the drug trade and more than 20,000 text messages. Mr Stephenson said: “The crown would submit that this shows that this was a very busy drugs line.
Adam Hussain (Image: GMP) The phone was also linked to Hussain, who was arrested on December 12 that year and caught with a large amount of cash that police say was made from drug dealing. Brought before the courts Hussain, who has six previous convictions for 17 offences, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs. He also admitted to possession of criminal property .
Sow, who has nine previous convictions for 15 offences, admitted to conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and conspiracy to supply Class B drugs. Mohammed Nawaz KC, defending Hussain, of Cross Street, told the court the money he had been caught with “wasn’t his, it belonged to others essentially higher up the chain.” He said that after his release from prison for an earlier case of conspiracy to supply drugs, Hussain had tried to launch a new career as a personal trainer.
But Mr Nawaz said that “unfortunately for him, his past came calling and he found himself back where he started.” Mamoudon Sow (Image: GMP) Tom Farr, for Sow said that not all the evidence on the phone was linked to the defendant himself. He said that the 29-year-old, of Chorley New Road, had been addicted to drugs himself at the time but “realises that he can’t simply keep going in and out of custody all his life.

But he reminded the court of the scale of the drugs operation, with thousands of calls and messages having been linked to the phone. Addressing Hussain he said: “The fact is that there really is another side to you away from the gym and away from your family.
” Recorder Lasker jailed Hussain for five years and nine months and Sow for five years and seven months..
