Mesillas allowed three hits, two runs (one earned) and three walks. Mesillas, Peyton Reynolds, Bryce Sterling, William Gydesen and Wyatt Davison logged a hit. Garrett Cowger, Karsten Sweesy and Seth Thompson led Lighthouse Christian with a hit.
Glenns Ferry (10-10, 3-1 Western Idaho Conference) will visit Garden Valley at 2 p.m. Friday.
Lighthouse Christian (6-6) will host Rimrock at 4:30 p.m. Friday.
6A Madison 10, Canyon Ridge 4 Canyon Ridge led 4-2 entering the bottom of the fifth before it allowed eight unanswered runs. Canyon Ridge’s Christian Waitley struck out seven across his four-inning start. Waitley allowed four hits, three runs (two earned) and four walks.
Waitley and Kohyn Barnes led with two hits. Canyon Ridge (5-14 overall, 3-7 High Country Conference) will host Madison at 4 and 6 p.m.
Thursday. 4A Kimberly 1, Buhl 0 (Game 1) Kimberly’s Ethan Dempsey scored on an error in the fifth inning. Buhl’s Porter Higley struck out 13 across a three-hit complete game.
Higley allowed that unearned run and two walks. Chase Craner, Remington Higley, Porter Higley, Miguel Flores, Kannon Gambrel and Zayne Meck led Buhl with a hit. Kimberly’s Gunner Stringham struck out four across a six-hit complete game.
Stringham allowed a walk. Ethan Maikranz, Stringham and Cash Gardner led Kimberly with a hit. Kimberly 2, Buhl 1 (Game 2) Kimberly’s Jeremiah Bybee struck out six with eight hits in this pitcher’s duel.
Bybee allowed an earned run and a walk. Kimberly grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first before Buhl responded in the third. Kimberly’s MaCraye Bruning drove in the go-ahead run in the top of the seventh on a sacrifice fly that scored Lucas Khan.
Stringham and Khan led the Bulldogs with two hits. Remington Higley and Blayden Lowry led Buhl with three hits. Remington Higley struck out three in a complete game.
He allowed nine hits, two earned runs and two walks. Kimberly (14-6 overall, 8-1 Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference) will visit Marsh Valley at 4 p.m.
Friday. Buhl (14-6 overall, 6-3 Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference) ended its regular season. Filer 13, Gooding 3 (Six innings, Game 1) Filer’s Brett Paxton, Hyde Bangerter and Drayson Smith led with three hits.
Filer broke things open with seven runs in the bottom of the sixth. Filer’s Bridger Phillips struck out three in a complete game. Phillips allowed five hits, three earned runs and two walks.
Cougar Stockham led Gooding with two hits. Filer 11, Gooding 1 (Five innings, Game 2) Filer’s Wyatt Blass went 4-for-4 with four RBIs while Aydyn Burns registered three hits. Paxton struck out eight in a one-hit complete game.
He allowed two walks. Zaeden Gonzales earned Gooding’s hit. Gooding (8-10, 1-8 SCIC) and Filer (8-13, 3-6 SCIC) ended their regular seasons.
3A Wendell 7, Declo 5 Wendell’s Julian Ponce and Deegan Prince combined to strike out nine and allow four hits. Chip Houser led Wendell with three hits while Prince, Santos Suarez and Zayden Rogers added two hits. Trevin Averett led Declo with two hits.
Averett struck out five in an 11-hit complete game. Declo (1-13 overall, 1-3 South East Idaho Conference) will host Malad at noon Saturday. Wendell (6-11-1, 3-0 SEIC) will host Malad at 4 p.
m. Friday. SOFTBALL 4A Gooding 15, Filer 4 (Six innings, Game 1) Gooding’s Olivia Rogers powered the Senators with four RBIs on three hits, including a solo home run.
Mady Morris and Kaylee Silver helped Gooding with two hits. Jaelynn Patton went 1-for-3 with four RBIs from the leadoff spot. Silver struck out six in a complete game win.
She allowed six hits, four earned runs and two walks. Filer’s Kyra Eskelsen went 3-for-3. Gooding 13, Filer 6 (Game 2) Gooding's Rogers struck out eight in a complete game.
Rogers allowed 12 hits, nine runs (seven earned) and two walks. She added three hits alongside Morris, Silver and Emma Day. Gooding's Kodi Garza and Fayth Gillette added two hits.
Filer's Heidi Winegar went 4-for-4 with four RBIs in the leadoff spot, including two home runs. Ava Smith contributed three hits with Alexis Gould and Kolbie Willis adding two. Kimberly 11, Buhl 3 (Game 1) Kimberly’s Mallory Kelsey struck out 13 in a complete game win.
Kelsey allowed eight hits, three runs (one earned) and two walks. Kimberly collected 18 hits, including four from Madi Trappen. Addi Cann and Hope Ward secured three hits.
Jaci Cowger and Kelsey finished with two hits. Adalyn Pearson led Buhl with three hits in the leadoff spot. Kimberly 6, Buhl 1 (Game 2) Kimberly’s Gracie Alleman and Kelsey combined to allow three hits.
Alleman struck out eight in her five-inning start. She surrendered three hits and one earned run. Kelsey struck out three in two clean innings.
Cowger, Trappen, Cann and Maci Chiatovich led with two hits. Buhl’s Meghan Blacker, Megan Ambrose and Aliyna Ruiz grabbed a hit. Kimberly (20-2 overall, 7-0 Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference) will host Gooding at 4 and 5:30 p.
m. Friday. Buhl (8-11 overall, 1-8 Sawtooth Central Idaho Conference) will host Homedale at 3:30 and 5:15 p.
m. Friday. 3A Declo 10, Wendell 8 Declo’s Makendrie Harris delivered a walk-off grand slam.
Harris and Kymbree Koyle led Declo with two hits. Harris also struck out 14 in a complete game. She allowed five hits, eight runs (four earned) and five walks.
Wendell’s Jace Olmos, Anabelle McRoberts, Breanna Comstock, Tyree Sears and Macie Bird recorded a hit. Wendell (13-6 overall, 3-1 SEIC) will host Malad at 1 p.m.
Friday. Declo (7-10 overall, 3-2 SEIC) welcomes Malad at 11 a.m.
Saturday. 2A Glenns Ferry 19, Greenleaf/Gem State Academy 0 (Five innings) Glenns Ferry’s Taylor Martinez struck out 12 in a no-hitter. Martinez allowed two walks.
She led with three hits. Glenns Ferry (15-2 overall, 11-0 WIC) will visit Prairie at 3:30 p.m.
Friday and battle defending state champions Genesee at 5:30 p.m. Friday at Prairie.
