‘Deeply Disturbed’ Trump Says US Stands Strong With India Against Terrorism; Putin Offers Condolences

At least 28 Indian tourists were slaughtered by terrorists who opened fire at them in Jammu Kashmir’s Pahalgam. About 500 tourists were spending their vacations at the Baisaran meadow in the valley when six terrorists opened fire at them. According to survivors, the perpetrators were allegedly asking about their faith before shooting.

Dressed in army fatigues, the terrorists first inquired about their names, then their religion, and then asked them to recite Islamic verses. Per the survivors, based on religion, some were spared; however, Syed Hussain Shah, a local, was also among the martyrs. Amid the growing Hindu-Muslim narrative on social media, the locals have condemned the vicious act of the terrorists, offering assistance to the affected tourists who are now stranded in the valley.



Meanwhile, PM Modi, who was on an official visit to Saudi Arabia, cut short his program and rushed home. The PM met with EAM Dr. S.

Jaishankar, NSA Ajit Doval, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and other officials and took stock of the situation, even as security has been heightened in Kashmir. In his tweet, the PM condemned the terrorist attack and promised justice. He remarked, I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.

Gandhi also stated that he spoke with Home Minister Amit Shah and J&K CM Omar Abdullah and received an update on the situation. State CM Omar Abdullah stated that he is shocked beyond belief. He remarked, This attack on our visitors is an abomination.

The perpetrators of this attack are animals, inhuman & worthy of contempt. No words of condemnation are enough. I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
