This Level 1 hospital in Poblacion, Sibonga, Cebu, added a brand new CT scan machine to its medical imaging arsenal; ready to accommodate up to 30 scans a day, furthering their commitment to providing excellent medical services to Southern Cebu.The new Diagnostic Imaging Department of DCH re-equipped its list of services with CT Scan, X-ray, General Ultrasound, AV Duplex, and 2D-Echo.

It also provides other medical facilities including a laboratory, operating room, emergency room, labor room, delivery room, wellness clinic, and pharmacy.The scanner is the newest addition to the Deiperine Community Hospital as it formally launched its Diagnostic Imaging Department on April 12, 2025. Commitment to serving Southern Cebu DCH traces its roots to a humble medical clinic established by the parents of Dr.



James Deiparine in a third-class municipality. Under his direction, the facility evolved from a 10-bed infirmary into a 30-bed hospital, and from a dedicated team of just 10 employees to a growing staff of 70 and counting. Now a Level 1 private hospital, Dr.

James Deiparine, the current medical director of DCH, has continued his predecessors’ mission to further make excellent medical care and intervention accessible to the people of Sibonga, other neighboring municipalities, and the mountainous barangay area of Southern Cebu. In collaboration with its team of medical professionals from different municipalities, it has successfully conducted approximately 1,500 surgical operations and 1,200 optometry cases since the hospital was designated as a Level 1 facility in 2020. Through this program, patients may receive a 30 percent discount on laboratory fees and medication, subject to the evaluation and approval of the hospital’s in-house social workers. Program members are also eligible for free annual check-up, access to the No Balance Billing (NBB) policy for ward admissions, and a 50 percent discount on minor surgeries conducted in the Emergency Room. In addition, DCH recognizes and facilitates other government-led medical assistance programs that offer financial support to patients in need.

The event was officiated with a blessing and opening remarks from the medical director of Deiparine Community Hospital, James Deiparine M.D. In support of specific sectors of the community, DCH offers a range of specialized healthcare packages.

Expectant mothers can avail maternity packages priced at P20,000.00 for GPI1 and GP5, and P15,000.00 for GP2 and GP4.

Other packages include employment packages, including the teacher package at P450.00 and the PNP package at P350.00.

The pre-employment package is at P450.00, and the student-friendly package is at P450.00.

As a 24/7 facility, Deiparine Community Hospital remains open daily, including holidays, to ensure uninterrupted service. Visiting hours for admitted patients are from 8:00 a.m.

to 9:00 p.m., with a maximum of two visitors permitted at any given time.

Room accommodations are priced rural-friendly. The female and pediatric wards are set at P1,500.00, while the male and isolation wards are available at P1,000.
