AR Murugadoss and Salman Khan’s collaboration Sikandar was one of the much-awaited projects of 2025. However, despite the amazing songs, the teaser and trailer of the film, as well as the extensive promotions and marketing, it tanked at the box office. As soon as it was released on the big screens, on Eid, critics as well as the audiences slammed the film for its poor storytelling, bad editing and lazy acting by the actors.

In the scene, that has surfaced on X (formerly known as Twitter), Kajal Aggarwal’s character is seen trying to commit suicide, leaving behind her two kids, because her father-in-law doesn’t allow her to work. Salman enters the scene, understands her grievances and then explains to her the meaning and importance of life.

They expressed how it might have added more weightage to the film and it would have helped the actioner gain more box office collection. .' For those who don’t know, the AR Murugadoss directorial was reportedly extensively shot in Hyderabad and Mumbai, with a budget of Rs 200 crores. Released on March 30, 2025, on the occasion of Eid.
Sikandar stars Salman Khan, Rashmika Mandanna, Kajal Aggarwal, Sharman Joshi, Prateik Babbar, and Sathyaraj among many others in pivotal roles. Sikandar failed to meet the audiences and the critics’ expectations. It underperformed at the box-office, with the film collecting Rs 109 crore at the box office.
