As the city of Detroit moves through the heart of April, the weather plays its unpredictable melody, with temperatures swinging gently like the tempo of the season. According to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service, Detroiters can expect the week to bring a mix of clouds and sunshine. The high for today is a comfortable 51 degrees under mostly sunny skies, with a brisk breeze from the north northeast at around 11 mph, occasionally gusting up to 21 mph.
Tonight the sky will clear up, leading to a low of approximately 34 degrees.Looking ahead to the weekend, Saturday will be sunny with a nice high of 55 degrees. Winds will be light from the northeast at 6 to 8 mph.
Saturday night will be partly cloudy with temps dipping to around 38 degrees. Overall, it’s shaping up to be a great weekend for outdoor plans, as reported by the National Weather Service.However, as Sunday approaches, clouds are once again gathering to mask the sun, resulting in a mostly cloudy day with the mercury topping off at 55 degrees.
A 5 to 10 mph south wind seeks to keep the air from stagnating. The pattern of clouds will persist into Sunday night, with the temperatures maintaining a milder demeanor at 47 degrees, as stated by the National Weather Service.As we move into the week, Monday brings a 30% chance of rain after 2pm, but it will warm up to a comfortable 65 degrees first.
Rain might linger until around 8pm, followed by a mostly cloudy night with lows near 42. Tuesday will stay mostly cloudy and breezy, with a high around 50 — a clear sign that the season is still shifting, as per the National Weather Service.As the week progresses, clearer skies are on the horizon.
Wednesday will see the sun return in full glory, shining down with a high of 54 degrees. Nightfall ushers in a handful of clouds but leaves the temperatures relatively moderate at 36 degrees. The cycle of weather will round out on Thursday with a chance of rain accompanying partly sunny conditions and a high near 60.
