The neighbourhood policing grant from the Home Office aims to rebuild the connection between police and the public, which is key to securing trust and confidence. The grant will see 45 more police officers deployed into neighbourhood teams and 55 more Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) recruited for Devon and Cornwall Police, alongside 10 Special Constable volunteers. It will also fund extra investment in recruitment and associated costs.
