Dillon Brooks Seemingly Admits to Targeting Stephen Curry After Rockets-Warriors Game 5

Houston Rockets wing Dillon Brooks seemingly admitted to targeting Warriors star Stephen Curry's thumb.

The Houston Rockets were able to keep their season alive with a 131-116 win over the Golden State Rockets on Wednesday night. However, there have been accusations about Dillon Brooks and the Rockets intentionally targeting Stephen Curry's injured thumb throughout the game.Prior to the start of Game 5, a photo was captured of Curry's thumb looking very swollen.

He has been wearing some protection on the thumb in the series.Brooks was asked about whether or not he's targeting the thumb in his post-game press conference.While most players would deny targeting another player's injury, Brooks did not take that route.



Instead, he seemingly admitted that he was doing exactly what he's being accused of doing."If I had an injured ankle, I would attack that ankle every single time," he said. "So, whatever they're saying on the broadcast, they can keep saying it.

It may be frowned upon, but Brooks wouldn't be breaking any rules if he is making contact with the injured thumb on purpose.

Curry struggled throughout Game 5. He scored just 13 points on 4-for-12 shooting, including making three of his nine 3-point attempts.On the other side of the court, Brooks had an extremely strong performance.

He scored 24 points throughout the game to help lead his team to a huge season-saving win.Game 6 will be played on Friday night. No game time has been announced to this point.
