DM’s court orders to seize 7cr assets of SP neta

Prayagraj : The court of the District Magistrate (Pratapgarh) on Wednesday ordered the attachment of properties worth over Rs 7 crore of Samajwadi Party (SP) acting district president Gulshan Yadav under Gangsters Act . He has as many as 53 criminal cases, including those of murder, attempt to murder, extortion, Gunda Act, Arms Act, Explosive Act, and Gangster Act, registered against him in different police stations of Pratapgarh and Prayagraj districts. Yadav, once a key aide of Kunda MLA Raja Bhaiya, later became his political rival and even unsuccessfully contested the 2022 assembly election against him from Kunda seat.

The assets to be attached include residential land, luxury vehicles and seizure of all bank accounts of Yadav in connection with the case registered against him with Kunda police station under section 2/3 of the UP Gangsters Act (crime no 291/2014), SP (Pratapgarh) Anil Kumar told TOI. The SP added: "The first case against Gulshan Yadav, a resident of Maudara (Manikpur), was registered with Kunda police station in 1998. Out of 53 cases, 52 were registered in different police stations of Pratapgarh, and one was with Soraon police station of Prayagraj district.
