‘Do we have an RCB player from...’: Rahul Dravid jokes about RCB’s bad luck at Chinnaswamy Stadium before big IPL clash

In the ongoing IPL 2025 season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have had an interesting IPL till now as they have remained unbeaten in their opponent’s home ground, but have not registered a single victory on their home turf, M Chinnaswamy Stadium.The ‘RCB Return’ curse appears to be very real this season, with former Royal Challengers Bangalore players like Mohammed Siraj, KL Rahul, and Yuzvendra Chahal returning to Chinnaswamy Stadium and dealing major blows to their former team, one after another.RCB’s first-ever captain Rahul Dravid, is now the head coach of Rajasthan Royals.

RR is currently at the 8th position in the IPL points table, as they have managed to win just two games out of eight. RR desperately need to win their further IPL games to gain momentum.Before their match against RCB, Dravid couldn’t resist commenting on the ongoing narrative, adding a hint of humour to it, “Do we have an RCB player from last time? It’s one of those tournaments where a few balls going here or there and we might have been in a slightly different position, but you need to play well in those critical moments.
