The event, organised by Dorset Dogs CIC founder Nicky Crowe, saw dogs and their owners flock to the beach for an afternoon of music and fun in the sun. The event was held to raise money for Merlin's Pet Food Banks, a charity that helps families in need. The highlight of the day was the Ultimate Dog Dance-Off, where dogs showed off their best moves on the dancefloor.
Vicky Mansfield from Paws on Board Dog Training was on hand to ensure the dogs were dance-ready. Dogs were also treated to relaxing massages by Amy Piper from White Oak Clinical Canine Massage and had the chance to sample Primal Paws' natural treats. Nicky Crowe said: "Our Dog Disco at Sobo Beach Southbourne was a hit again.
"It’s our second year running, and even more dogs attended. "We had a ball with our new ultimate dog dance-off competition and rosettes. "I am so proud of our volunteer team who pulled this together with me today.
" The event also marked one of the last days that dogs are allowed on Sobo Beach before seasonal restrictions come into place on Thursday, May 1..
