A dog groomer has opened her own business in a town centre, after deciding to become her own boss. Dana Ancuta opened the Temple of Dog Grooming on Queen Street, Southwell, late last month. From there, she offers one-to-one dog grooming sessions, which aim to provide a relaxed, stress-free experience for people’s beloved pups.

“I think we need something like this because we have lots of dogs around,” Dana said. “I know people here love their dogs like children, and I wanted to offer something but different with the one-to-one grooming, taking it slowly so they don’t get stressed. “I hope I give the best service.

” Dana has lived in the town for 17 years — somewhere she says she never wants to leave — and worked for many local businesses and shops, before deciding to branch out and train as a groomer. “I started to think about doing what I wanted to do — I love dogs,” she added. “I think if you love what you do you do it best.

” The Temple of Dog Grooming has got off to a good start, surpassing Dana’s expectations, and she hopes that as her client base builds and she gets more reviews business will only get better..
