We've rounded up a number of Bolton cases heard by magistrates recently - read on to find out who's been in the dock. Drunk and disorderly A man was fined for being drunk and disorderly in a public place and for possession of Class A drugs. Liam Booth, 27, admitted at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had been drunk and disorderly in Bolton on December 27 last year.
He also admitted that he had cocaine in his possession that same day. Booth, of Snow Hill Road, Bolton was ordered to pay a fine of £380 with costs of £85 and a surcharge of £152. Magistrates also ordered that the cocaine be seized and destroyed.
Cocaine A man was ordered to pay up after having cocaine in his possession. Gareth Booth, 39, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had Class A drugs in his possession in Bolton on December 26 last year. This was in contravention of section 5(1) of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
Booth, of Ainsworth Avenue, Horwich was ordered to pay a fine of £120 with costs of £85 and a surcharge of £48. Magistrates also ordered that the cocaine be seized and destroyed. Black bin bags A woman was ordered to pay nearly £1,000 after dumping two black bin bags.
Blessing Adedolapo Adams, 49, indicated a guilty plea at Bolton Magistrates Court to leaving the two black bin bags on land behind Carter Street on August 5 last year. This was without the authority of a current environmental permit. Adams, of Carter Street, was fined £400 and ordered to pay costs of £400 with a surcharge of £160.
Drink driving A man was banned from the roads after being found guilty of drink driving. Peter Breen, 67, pleaded not guilty at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court to driving on Redgate Way, Bolton on August 18 last year while over the legal limit for alcohol. But he was found guilty at the magistrates court.
Breen, of Pike Avenue, Atherton, was banned from driving for 16 months. He was also ordered to pay a fine of £300 with £620 costs and a surcharge of £120. Breaching order A man was fined after breaching a post-custodial order.
Jamal Ali, 33, admitted to Wigan and Leigh Magistrates Court that he had failed to attend Bolton Probation Office for planned appointments on December 24 last year and January 7 this year. He had also failed to provide evidence to excuse his absences within the proper time frame. Ali, of Lynwood Avenue, Bolton was ordered to pay £120.
