Sudanese-American artist Dua Saleh today announces the release of their long-gestating debut album, ‘I SHOULD CALL THEM’, out this October 11th via Ghostly International. Following the previous single ‘unruly’ featuring serpentwithfeet , Saleh teases the album experience with new cut ‘want’ – an anthemic, punk-infused ode to toxic situationships. Of the inspiration behind ‘want’, Saleh says: “‘want’ is a song about toxic on-again, off-again situationships.

It’s an anthem for those relationships that might not happen at the right time but feel so right that you go against your intuition. It’s about discovering self-worth, but still wanting to lean into that cheeky naughtiness.” ‘I SHOULD CALL THEM’ comes two years after Saleh’s last genre-blurring release, ‘ CROSSOVE R ‘, and houses a collection of lush and lucid electronic and indie-tinged RnB numbers, surveying “the spiritual power, resilience, and joy of love found between two star crossed lovers.

” The album features collaborations with future soul luminaries Gallant, serpentwithfeet, Sid Sriram, and Ambré, and production contributions from acclaimed producers such as Rogét Chahayed (Travis Scott, Jack Harlow, Khalid, Doja Cat), Biako (Fousheé, Yuna, Jean Dawson), Stint (Carly Rae Jepsen, Kesha), and 1Mind (Juice WRLD, Don Toliver, Lil Yachty).
