With profound sorrow and broken hearts, we announce the passing of Dylan Aaron Wall who left this world far too soon on April 22, 2025 at the age of 39. Funeral services are 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Federated Church in Columbus. Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
at McKown Funeral Home. Dylan was born on January 21,1986 in Lincoln, Neb. He lived with his family in Henderson, Neb.
until the age of six when he and his family moved to Columbus, Neb. Dylan graduated from Columbus High School in 2004, after which he attended Southeast Community College and the University of Nebraska, graduating with distinction. Dylan spent most of his professional career with Nebraska Folk Life Network in Lincoln.
Most recently, Dylan was passionate about work with Columbus Public Library. He loved reading, writing and was an avid cyclist. He summited over half of the 52 tallest mountains in Colorado and has ridden over 1000 miles of the Pacific Coast on his bicycle.
He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, wit, and the love he had for his family and friends. Dylan is survived by his mother, Dianne (Keith Wieseman) Wall of Columbus; his father, Dale Wall of Omaha; brothers, Dana and (Elizabeth) Wall of Madison, Wis., Darin and (Arin Fife) Wall of Chicago, Ill.
, and Drew and (Elizabeth) Wall of Carlsbad, Calif.; nieces and nephews Cecelia, Beckett, Charlie, Conrad and Sophia. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Walter and Norma Friesen and Aaron and Alma Wall.
