During Monday's breakfast edition of GB News, Ellie Costello and Eamonn Holmes reported on the latest headlines, including whether AI is threatening the workplace.

GB News fans who tuned in to watch Monday's breakfast show with Ellie Costello and Eamonn Holmes were left worried over one presenter. Eamonn sparked concern when he struggled to read off a news bulletin after the pair reported on whether AI threatens the workplace. The 65-year-old, who regularly uses reading glasses while working on the news channel, attempted to read a report but struggled to see the words on the bulletin.

What's more, he had to ask co-star Ellie Costello to repeat something as he didn't hear it correctly the first time after she gave a figure about one in four workers being worried about AI. Speaking to viewers at home, Eamonn said, "This comes as the GMB calls for school staff to - I can't see what it says there - to have better training in AI so the next generation know what they are up against." Eamonn has recently been dealing with severe back pain and has previously mentioned feeling like he's living on "borrowed time", given that his father passed away from a heart attack at 65.

During his acceptance speech for GB News' award at the TRIC Awards 2024, Eamonn touched on his health issues, saying: "Thank you very much for this award. "We were up against world class programmes and that makes it a little bit more special. Sometimes we all think about imposter syndrome.

I went for an operation a year and a half ago and it went wrong. I got two things in my back that I didn't want." The TV star also came down with shingles in 2018, two weeks before his son's wedding.

Speaking about the ordeal, Eamonn said, "It was bl**dy scary to see it. It looked as if someone had taken a baseball bat to my face and smashed me about a bit. "Blindness could have been a complication in my case.

The doctor said it’s really bad for you because it’s around your eyes, and could be bad for your ophthalmic nerves. Medically, it was pretty serious. “The doctor said it’s really bad for you because it’s around your eyes, and could be bad for your ophthalmic nerves.
