Tommy O’Neill recorded the only extra-base hit of the day, smacking a double as part of a 2-for-4 day that also saw O’Neill steal a base and come around to score twice.

Four East Brunswick Magnet pitchers combined to strike out 17 Highland Park batters while walking five. Joshua Carreras struck out four in 1 1/3 innings, Jack Clements struck out four in 2 1/3 innings, Nomar Carreras recorded five strikeouts in 1 2/3 innings and Charlie Misura notched four strike outs in 1 2/3 innings for East Brunswick Magnet (9-0). Connor Roth-Zappo drew a walk and stole two bases in a 1-for-2 performance at the plate.
