Ektaa Kapoor Praises Akshay Kumar’s Performance In Kesari Chapter 2: ‘Boss In Form’

Kesari Chapter 2, the period courtroom drama starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday, is currently receiving an overwhelming response from both fans and critics. Backed by Karan Johar ’s Dharma Productions, the film explores the lesser-known aftermath of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre and has been praised for its gripping storyline and powerful performances.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Ektaa Kapoor, have also expressed their admiration for the film. She took to Instagram and dropped a video of a scene from the film featuring Akshay on her stories. Sharing her review of the film, she wrote in the caption, “Too Goooood," while tagging the producer Karan.



Lauding Khiladi Kumar’s performance, Ektaa wrote, “Boss is form." Karan re-shared her story and wrote, “Ektu," while Akshay wrote, “Thank you Ekta." Apart from her, other celebs like Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Medha Shankr, Raj Kundra, Suniel Shetty, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Ramesh Taurani and Sunny Kaushal, among others, also praised the film and its cast performances.

In Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay plays Sir C Sankaran Nair, a courageous lawyer who battled the British Raj to bring justice to the victims of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, while R Madhavan is seen as advocate Neville McKinley, who stands against Nair. Ananya, on the other hand, plays a young lawyer, Dilreet Gill, who is also involved in this legal battle for justice. Talking about its collection, according to the makers, the film has minted a total of over Rs 29 crore Nett India, after three days of its release. Sharing the official collection data on Instagram, Dharma Productions wrote, “This case isn’t just making noise — it’s painting the box office ‘kesari’." Ahead of its release, a special screening of Kesari Chapter 2 was held in the National capital, where Delhi CM Rekha Gupta lauded the film, calling it a deeply emotional experience.
