EXCLUSIVE : Former HBO executive Amy Hodge has been appointed as Head of Television for Fruit Tree , the production company founded by Emma Stone and Dave McCary . This marks the first Head of TV executive hire for Fruit Tree, which recently signed a first-look TV deal with Fremantle. In her new role, Hodge will oversee the development and production of Fruit Tree’s television slate.
She most recently spent six years at HBO as VP and subsequently SVP of Original Programming, shepherding such series as I May Destroy You, The Righteous Gemstones, Insecure, The Rehearsal, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Mrs. Fletcher. She left the network last year to return to her producing roots.

Previously, Hodge served as VP, Development at Jane Tranter’s Bad Wolf where she developed Industry, now headed to its fourth season on HBO, and co-produced the first season of HBO’s Succession. She joined Bad Wolf in 2015 after serving as Director, Development at BBC Worldwide Productions, where she co-produced Getting On for HBO, Us & Them for Fox, and Intruders f or BBC America/BBC 2. As we continue to expand our television presence, we’re thrilled to welcome Amy to the team.” In TV, Fruit Tree have produced The Curse for Showtime, Fantasmas for HBO and the upcoming HBO documentary series The Yogurt Shop Murders , directed by Margaret Brown.
In features, the company most recently produced Jesse Eisenberg’s award-winning A Real Pain. In addition to husband-and-wife duo Stone and McCary, at Fruit Tree Hodge joins company’s President Ali Herting. “I’m incredibly excited to join Fruit Tree and work alongside Emma, Dave, and Ali,” said Hodge.
