The new Business cabin includes 14 lie-flat seats, each with direct aisle access and a herringbone layout. Etihad Airways is raising the bar for short and medium-haul flights with the launch of its brand-new Airbus A321LR, offering a luxury experience usually seen only on long-haul wide-body aircraft. The aircraft features: Private First Suites 14 Business Class lie-flat seats with direct aisle access Upgraded Economy Class with wide seats and modern entertainment Superfast Wi-Fi for smooth streaming and browsing Etihad plans to double its fleet, triple passenger numbers, and open 16 new destinations in 2025 alone as part of its Journey 2030 vision.

The new First Suite on the A321LR brings full privacy with: A sliding door A fully lie-flat bed A private dining area A large 20-inch 4K entertainment screen with Bluetooth and wireless charging In Business Class, travellers will find: 14 wide seats arranged in a 1-1 herringbone layout Fully flat 78-inch beds 17.3-inch 4K entertainment screens Wireless charging and Bluetooth headphone pairing Ample storage space. 144 seats with extra recline and ergonomic support 18.



4-inch wide seats – among the widest in the industry 13.3-inch 4K touchscreens USB charging and new-generation entertainment. “More broadly, the A321LR marks a transformational moment for Etihad as we accelerate toward our Journey 2030 vision: doubling our fleet size, tripling our passenger numbers, and opening 16 new destinations in 2025 alone," said Antonoaldo Neves, CEO of Etihad Airways.

The A321LR is equipped with Viasat’s advanced multi-orbit system, offering speeds of up to 1 Gbps. Etihad is also enhancing the entire First-Class journey, not just the flight. New premium services starting from August include: Etihad Concierge: Personal travel planning support 24/7 Chauffeur service: Private transport to and from the airport Dedicated Check-In and Lounge Access Porter service and personal escort on arrival Home Check-In and Land & Leave services (soon available in Abu Dhabi) First-Class passengers at Zayed International Airport will even be driven directly to the aircraft door in a private limousine if needed.

Starting 1 August 2025, Etihad’s A321LR will operate on routes from Abu Dhabi to exciting destinations such as: Chennai Kolkata Algiers Athens Bangkok Copenhagen Milan Paris Riyadh Zurich Tunis.
