The record sleeve of Nirvana’s hit album Nevermind was signed by Kurt Cobain, Krist Novoselic, and Dave Grohl after playing a gig at the Bierkeller in Bristol in 1991. Following the gig, which took place before the band became a global sensation, the record sleeve spent over 30 years in a loft. It has now gone under the hammer at Wessex Auction Rooms near Chippenham, where it sold for £18,600 after being snapped up by a buyer in the USA.

After the show, friends of a local promoter spent time at the venue with drummer Dave Grohl and bassist Krist Novoselic..
