Farzi 2 OTT Release: The popular web show, starring Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi, was a massive hit on Prime Video. The series marked the OTT debut of Shahid, which has been directed by Raj and DK. The first season of Farzi ended with the faceoff between Shahid Kapoor, Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon.
After this, fans started demanding a second instalment. As per a report by Pinkvilla, the shoot is set to roll from December 2025. The report further suggests that Farzi 2 will release in the second half of 2026.
It will continue the face-off between Shahid Kapoor with Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon. A source told the portal, “The duo of Raj and DK are presently busy with Rakht Brahmand. On calling it a wrap, they will proceed to the pre-production of Farzi 2 and take it on floors by December.
Taj and DK have conducted meetings to discuss the basic trajectory of the sequel with Shahid Kapoor. The Farzi sequel will see a face-off between Shahid Kapoor with Vijay Sethupathi and Kay Kay Menon.” Farzi 2 further features Raashii Khanna, Bhuvan Arora, Regina Cassandra and Kavya Thapar in significant roles.
About Farzi The story is about an artist named Sunny who has been disillusioned by the income inequality in India after he failed his grandfather’s business. He then teams up with his friend Firoz to make counterfeit money. They face a challenge from a gangster and a cop.
The show stars Raashii Khanna, Shahid Kapoor, Bhuvan Arora, Kavya Thapar, Vijay Sethupathi, Regina Cassandra, Kay Kay Menon, Amol Palekar, Saqib Ayub and Anna Ador in key roles. It was released on Prime Video on February 10, 2023 on Prime Video. The show comprises eight episodes in total.
