Fawlty Towers adaptation play coming to Cornwall in 2026

The play, written by comedy legend John Cleese, sees three of his favourite episodes from the series - The Hotel Inspector, The Germans, and Communication Problems- reimagined as a two-hour play. This will be topped off with a brand new finale. Following a successful run in the West End earlier this year, and a three-month season set for the summer, the play will hit the road in a major UK and Ireland tour.

The tour will begin in September of 2025, and run until July 2026. The cast for the tour has been announced, with Danny Bayne taking on the role of Basil Fawlty. He will be joined by Mia Austen as Sybil, Hemi Yeroham as Manuel, Joanne Clifton as Polly, Paul Nicholas as The Major, and Jemma Churchill as Mrs Richards.
