Fifth annual 'Be You!' fair slated May 4

VACAVILLE — The Vacaville People’s Forum will host Be You!, an inclusion and resource fair on May 4.

VACAVILLE — The Vacaville People’s Forum will host Be You!, an inclusion and resource fair on May 4. The event is from noon to 3 p.m.

at lower Creekwalk Plaza at Andrews Park, 614 E. Monte Vista Ave. It aims to celebrate diversity, foster a sense of belonging, and promote an inclusive environment.



Individuals of all abilities are invited to come together, express themselves, and enjoy a day of fun, connection, and support. The free event is sponsored in part by Vacaville City Councilman Michael Silva, Kaiser Permanente and former Vacaville City Councilman Jason Roberts. Funds for this event were provided in part by the Vacaville Measure M Council District Benefit Program.

“We created Be You! to provide a space where everyone feels valued, celebrated, and supported,” said Danielle Shea, event coordinator, in a press release. “This event is a celebration of who we are as a community. Whether you have special needs or you just care about making the world more inclusive, we invite you to join us in celebrating diversity and inclusion.

” There will be community organizations site, speakers and D.J. Rene Ortiz.

Participating organizations include the North Bay Regional Center, United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay, Found It, SODA, Home Sweet Hygiene, Special Olympics Northern California, Connections For Life, Parents Empowering Parents, Solano County SELPA, Solano County Office of Education, and City of Vacaville Adaptive Recreation.
