Fire at shuttered Spring Township animal hospital

Crews responded to a fire at a shuttered animal hospital in Spring Township on Wednesday.Crews were called to Springfield Veterinary Hospital in the first block of Princeton Avenue about 7:15 p.m.

, according to emergency dispatchers. Smoke was visible inside the building when they arrived.Firefighters fought the fire for about 10 minutes, reporting the bulk of the flames had been knocked down by 7:24 p.
