com Syracuse, N.Y. — Firefighters rescued a woman trapped in a car after it crashed Monday evening on Syracuse’s North Side.
The crash was reported at about 5:40 p.m. in the 500 block of North Salina Street.
The car ended up on its side after striking a parked car, according to Capt. Phillip Vogt, a spokesperson for the Syracuse Fire Department. Firefighters first stabilized the vehicle so it wouldn’t move, Vogt said.
They then cut out the windshield to get inside, he said, and got the woman out through the car’s back hatch. The woman suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash, Vogt said.
