First graders reenact Stations of the Cross

Each year, St. Joseph Elementary School’s first-grade students reenact during the Easter season Jesus Christ’s sorrowful journey from the house of Pilate to Calvary and meditate on his sufferings and death as they occurred during Passover week in A.D.33.

Each year, St. Joseph Elementary School’s first-grade students reenact during the Easter season Jesus Christ’s sorrowful journey from the house of Pilate to Calvary and meditate on his sufferings and death as they occurred during Passover week in A.D.

33. There were 14 incidents in that journey from Jesus’ condemnation until the placement of His body in a Sepulcher which are known as the Stations of the Cross. The first grader’s dramatization is similarly called “The Way of the Cross.



” It was presented to the entire student body, faculty and visiting family members on Wednesday..
