Kaizer Chiefs could find themselves with a “get out of jail” card on a flop signings from this season. Chiefs made 10 signings in the two Windows that Nasreddine Nabi has been afforded after being appointed at the club. In the two windows that he has been at the club for, Nabi has been backed with 10 signings.
So far, there have been very few success stories from that 10 with some already rumoured for an exit. Some of the earliest recruits in Bongani Sam and Fiacre Ntwari might be amongst the first exits. There is also an element of doubt on the future of Bradley Cross , who has also failed to convince so far.
Ntwari has flopped at Chiefs While Cross has benefitted from injuries and started proving his worth again, the same can’t be said about the others. Sam is yet to make a match day squad and is clearly on his way out of Chiefs, while Ntwari is third choice. Now with rumours that Amakhosi are looking to offload Ntwari for another foreign spot, they seem to have a buyer.
According to Ntwari’s national team from Rwanda Adel Amrouche , a French Ligue 2 side has inquired about him. The veteran mentor, however, is hopeful that the player will remain at Chiefs and continue to develop. French club to offer him a way out? “There is a second division club from France; they also asked me about him (Ntwari).
I trust the coaches at Chiefs, and I hope between now and June, he’s going to get his chance to play again because we need him for the rest of the qualifiers.” Said Amrouche as per FARPost . Should he stay or leave? Ntwari came in with big expectations at Chiefs and was immediately made first choice.
But the former TS Galaxy player has flattered to deceive. Amakhosi would you be happy for the club to sell him after one season? Or does he deserve more patience and another chance? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab. Or by emailing info@thesouthafrican.
