Fort Worth's Trinity Park Prepares for Mayfest with Partial Closures, Festival Promises Community Benefits and Fun

Residents of Fort Worth, take note: preparations are underway for the city's annual Mayfest, a family-oriented festival featuring carnival rides, live music, art exhibitions, and more. According to a recent announcement by the City of Fort Worth, portions of Trinity Park will be temporarily closed through April 21 to facilitate setup for the event.However, the park remains partially accessible.

The northern section of Trinity Park will continue to be open to the public, including an alternative playground near the duck pond—an ideal substitute while Dream Park remains temporarily closed. For those navigating the area, a lighted detour via the Trinity Park Loop Trail will connect the north and south ends of the park along the west side of the Trinity River, ensuring safe and convenient passage.Dream Park will reopen to the public during the festival itself, scheduled to take place from May 1 through May 4.



Beyond entertainment, Mayfest also contributes significantly to the community. Over the years, the festival has reinvested more than $7.5 million into local projects, supporting enhancements such as improved LED lighting and new infrastructure throughout Trinity Park.
