Fountains in Victoria Square illuminated and looking spectacular

Recently in Looking Back we featured a photo of Victoria Square in Bolton in the Sixties. Victoria Square, Bolton, 1965 (Picture: Newsquest) The fountains in the square clearly made an impression on you growing up so we thought this unusual view of both the fountains and war memorial illuminated at night would go down well. It was taken in January 1965 looking towards Newport Street and you can see one of the glass panels which were part of the fountain design.
