THE Coedpoeth United midweek derby went the way of the champions in the U19s League. United made it 19 wins out of 19 with Thomas Williams firing in four in a 6-3 win over their FC Coedpoeth club-mates. Ben Griffiths netted the other two with Cai Partington, Brett Taylor and Evan Thomas hitting back.

Second-placed Brickfield Rangers are 20 points behind the leaders, who beat them 2-1 on Sunday. Williams and Tom Williams got the goals with Jay Richardson replying. Jayden Sheil (2) and Cai Price earned Rhos Aelwyd a 3-0 win at Mynydd Isa while FC Coedpoeth recovered to triumph 5-2 at Broughton United for whom Jack Foster bagged both.



Billie Ellis (2), Adam Gregory, Brett Taylor and Evan Thomas won it for Coedpoeth. It was seven-up for U17s League leaders Gresford Athletic. Oliver Tomkinson (2), Charlie Manning, Charlie Keay, Oscar Synnerdahl-Evans, Alex Cooper and Jonnie Vernon got the goals in a 7-0 win over Holywell Town.

Llay Welfare went down 3-2 at home to Broughton United Super Saints for whom Jack McCarthy-Hall, Ben Elshani and Samson Price scored. Harry Roberts and Alfie Guest hit back for Llay. Rudi Suckley and Morgan Davies-Jones earned Lex XI a 2-1 win over Brickfield Rangers whose scorer was Tyler Hughes.

Daniel Evans and Dylan Northall were Chirk AAA’s marksmen in a 2-2 draw against Mold Alex, who hit back through Rhys Hughes and Matthew Cross. The battle between the top two in the U16s League One ended 2-2. Jacob Duffy and Louie Doleman scored for leaders Holywell Town, who remain three points clear of Mold Alex, for whom Charlie Rush bagged both.

Connah’s Quay Town won 4-1 at Borras Park Rangers with Gethin Brown, Oliver Tyndall, Joseph Evans and Rhys Roberts on target. Dion Thomas hit back for Rangers. There’s a thrilling title race in League Three of the U15s section.

Borras Park Albion Yellows lead the way on goal difference after a 3-0 victory at Aston Park Rangers. Brickfield Rangers kept up the pace with a 4-1 win at AFC Flint Cubs where Elijah Mugara (2), David Mlynarski and El-nino Redmond got the goals. Leo Elliott hit back for the hosts.

Brickfield will go top if they avoid defeat at home to Saltney Town this evening. The clash between Deeside Dragons Blaze and Halkyn United ended in a rare goal-less draw. In League One, Sam Phoenix (2), Thomas Davies and Robert Ballantyne scored in AFC Flint’s 4-3 victory over Rhos Aelwyd, who hit back through Ollie Jones (2) and Logan Harper.

In League Two, Connah’s Quay Tigers triumphed 4-1 at Brymbo for whom Jake Williams scored. Lucas Brick was the Tigers’ star player with a treble. Captain Kieran Cooke was also on target.

Harri Jones, Daniel Jones and Robert Ballantyne were Mynydd Isa’s marksmen in a 3-1 win over Lex XI for whom Seth Tapp replied..
