TWO of the country's biggest banks are set to close the doors to their Scottish branches for good as of next month. Bank of Scotland and TSB have announced they will shut some of their Scottish branches, with many of the closures starting from May. In Scotland 16 Bank of Scotland locations will close and one TSB branch will shut up shop for good between May and March next year. Across the UK banks including NatWest , Lloyds, TSB and Halifax are also closing branches in May. Lloyds will shut the most branches, with 27 locations set to close.

Meanwhile, TSB is set to shut five, Barclays will close three and Ulster Bank will both close one. By the end of last month, 88 branches closed their doors for good.
