Swabi - Over 300 researchers, industry representatives, and academic experts from 12 countries participated in a two-day International Conference on Modern Technologies in Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MTME 2025) at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology.

Swabi - Over 300 researchers, industry representatives, and academic experts from 12 countries participated in a two-day International Conference on Modern Technologies in Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MTME 2025) at Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology. They stressed the need for stronger collaboration between research institutions and industry to achieve impactful results. The conference was organised by the institute in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission.

Participants included scholars from Pakistan, the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland, Norway, France, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan, and the United States. Prof Dr Qadeer ul Hasan, patron-in-chief of the conference, highlighted the global engagement as a testament to the strength of the platform. The event provided a space for sharing advancements in engineering, with Prof Dr Naseer Ahmed, vice-chancellor of a local university, emphasising Pakistan’s growing role in global engineering research.



KP signs MoA to empower youth through vocational training Keynote presentations were delivered by international experts including Dr Adnan Syed from the United Kingdom and Dr Shimpei Ono from Japan. The conference featured technical sessions on advanced mechanical systems, novel materials, and sustainable energy, as well as workshops on robotic control systems and material characterisation techniques. A major highlight was the Industry-Academia Panel Discussion focused on addressing national engineering challenges.

Awards were presented for best paper and best poster, with international participants praising the quality of research and its importance for Pakistan’s engineering sector. Tags: global experts industry.
