Good American Family viewers are sharing hate about Kristine Barnett on her Facebook page – but the account is fake.

Good American Family has reached its finale, and while the real Kristine Barnett is laying low, a fake profile of Natalia Grace’s former adoptive mother has popped up and she’s fooling viewers into believing she has a new book coming out. Although the first half of the new Hulu series focuses on Kristine and Michael Barnetts’ claims that Natalia was an adult when they adopted her, the second half switches focus to Natalia’s perspective. Kristine is accused of being physically and psychologically abusive towards Natalia before changing her legal age from eight to 22 in 2012 – with the help of her now-ex-husband – so they could abandon her in an apartment alone.

The last half of these allegations is true: Natalia really was a child when she was adopted by the Barnetts in 2010. However, the charges against them were dropped – as is revealed in Good American Family Episode 8, ‘Blood On Her Hands’, the legal process was tricky. The Kristine Barnett book Witch Hunt is fake While there’s been a fresh wave of criticism towards Kristine, much of it has been directed at a fake Facebook account .

The account holder claims Kristine’s released a new tell-all book titled Witch Hunt: The Kristine Barnett Story – but it doesn’t exist. Her real Facebook page has been set to private, meaning you can neither see nor comment on her posts or pictures. Although she hasn’t publicly revealed why, she did receive a heavy backlash after the release of ID’s docu-series The Curious Case of Natalia Grace .

Related Good American Family sparks Natalia Grace mystery that may never be solved However, in January 2024, shortly after the release of the follow-up season, Natalia Speaks , this new profile was created, claiming to be Kristine. “Author, Loving Mother, Advocate for Children With Disabilities, Writer, & Activist,” the bio reads. They have shared real photos and testimonials of Kristine’s book The Spark , about raising her son Jacob, and posted comments about the reaction to the docu-series .

“Just as I knew would happen. The trendiness of pretending to care about Natalia has died down leaving only the truly pathetic and obsessed left in every group,” they said in a post. “You did not actually care, you only wanted to bully a mother.

” Then, in March 2024, they shared a post with a fake cover for their book Witch Hunt, writing, “Utilizing never before seen indisputable DNA evidence and testimonies from both medical personnel and law enforcement, my newest book will provide a comprehensive examination of the past to uncover the truth once and for all. “This chapter will finally be closed.” The cover includes a real photo of Kristine, as well as a made-up quote from The New York Times describing it as “a true story of bravery and perseverance.

” The novel isn’t real, but it has fooled a lot of people. “I hope no one buys it and everyone leaks it online,” wrote one, while another said, “Love when a narcissist switches the script to try and be seen as the victim, and make money by selling a book on top of it!” A third added, “How about the DNA test that proves that Natalia is the child of a woman proven to have been born in 1979, making it highly unlikely she was born in 1989 for obvious reasons?” Amid the release of Good American Family , viewers have flocked to the comments section to criticize her. “Just remember that OJ was found innocent too,” said one.

“Just because you are acquitted doesn’t mean you didn’t do it.” A second stated, “You can publish memoirs and post on Facebook, but no book will erase the irrefutable evidence that Natalia Grace was a child when you abandoned her.” Some followers of the true crime case have discovered the truth, however, including this Redditor who said, “I’m no fan of Kristine, but the account this was posted on is verifiably fake.

I don’t doubt we’ve heard the last from her but this is not it.” Good American Family is streaming on Hulu now, while The Curious Case of Natalia Grace can be watched on Max.
