New Delhi April 23: Google’s parent company, Alphabet, is reportedly paying Samsung “enormous sum of money” each month to have its AI app, Gemini, pre-installed on Samsung smartphones and other devices. The information is part of an ongoing antitrust case against Google, which began with accusations from the US Department of Justice (DOJ) that Google has been illegally abusing its monopoly in the search engine market. Reports suggest that if DOJ succeeds in its case, Google could be blocked from making default placement deals in the future.
