With sitework already complete, developers Terra and Turnberry are advancing on a 17-story hotel in Miami Beach. Originally approved in 2018, Grand Hyatt Miami Beach will feature 800 rooms spanning 12 floors. A shares that of those rooms, 52 will be luxury guest suites.
There will also be four floors with event and ballroom space. Communal amenities will include a swimming pool, bar, and on-site restaurant. A key feature of the hotel is an air-conditioned skybridge that connects to the adjacent Miami Beach Convention Center, along with “limited retail space that will activate the district at street level.
” The hotel is anticipated to finish construction in late 2027; it’s intended to enrich the evolving Convention Center District, a $640 million investment in the area’s future as a professional meeting hub. The hotel itself was made possible by a $392 million construction loan. Bernardo Fort-Brescia of Arquitectonica designed the high-rise venture.
Regarding the high-rise’s design, the Miami-based firm describes the building as L-shaped, ensuring an easy valet and ridesharing experience. In total, the project will comprise close to 800,000 gross square feet. Grand Hyatt Miami Beach will be located at , 33139, in Miami-Dade County.
