A hairless cat which needs to be the sole pet in the household is looking for a new home after being returned. The RSPCA is calling on potential adopters to give a home to two-year-old Kao the Sphynx. According to the charity, the young cat is better suited to human interaction as opposed to the company of other cats.

Kao recently returned to the shelter when his previous home did not work out, now the RSPCA says 'he must be the only animal in the household'. Kao the Sphynx is looking for a new home where he can be the only pet.

Speaking about Kao, the RSCPA said: "He thrives on human interaction and is happiest when he is close to his people. "Whether lounging on a lap or curling up beside his owner, Kao is eager for companionship and is sure to bring warmth and joy to any household.
"His strong social needs mean he doesn’t tolerate the company of other cats and would prefer to have all the attention to himself. The animal rescue explains that Kao will also need a spacious living environment to accommodate his energetic personality.
Kao has previously struggled in smaller flats, so a more spacious home would better suit his needs. He also enjoys climbing, so a home with opportunities for vertical exploration will help keep him entertained..
